UX/UI Lead


The UX/UI Lead is responsible for creating and testing user experiences across any number of digital touchpoints. They apply user research, business objectives and targeted outcomes to inform digital experiences. They work closely with front end development and Product teams and test and validate detailed wireframes with stakeholders. PREFERENCE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE DESIGNING IN AGILE PROCESS. 

Responsibilities may include: 
  • Apply conceptual thinking to create world-class digital services across multiple platforms, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities. 
  • Work directly with DCX Product Owner, business stakeholders, product teams and development teams to design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative agile design techniques. 
  • Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, scenarios, user flows, use cases, and competitor audits. 
  • Create tangibility for fellow designers and the client through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping. 
  • Define the User Interface Design through information architecture, wireframes, and user flows and validate it through usability testing with end users. 
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually to product teams. 
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented 
  • Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, program management, business and brand strategists, and hardware and software developers 
  • Collaborate effectively with remote team members, including designers, researchers engineering, product management, marketing and others. 

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Bachelor' s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years in-depth experience of user interface design with consumer applications and web sites; including responsive design, ADA compliance application, and an understanding of working in and around platforms such as e-commerce, content management, portal platforms and others. 
  • Experience with driving an applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management and user research. 
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as, Sketch, Invision, and Axure. 
  • Knowledge of web based technologies, mobile operating systems and platforms, and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including browser and OS considerations. 
  • Knowledge of designing for mobile, tablet and desktop responsive experiences. 
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. process flows, use cases, sketching, wireframes, and prototypes (low and high fidelity) 
  • Ability to articulate and justify ideas and design solutions to clients and other designers. 
  • Experience executing using agile methodology 
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent active listening skills. 
  • Experience with conversation design and conversational design principles
