IIS/Web Operational Support

Description 
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations supporting web infrastructure and applications for the  IT Organization. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Work with business partners and vendors to implement custom applications and 3rd party vended web applications. 

Provide web server support for the following platforms: 
  • o IIS 
  • o Apache 
  • o WebSphere 

 
  • Follow written procedures to apply standard security configuration to newly built web servers 
  • Follow written procedures to execute standard commissioning/decommissioning processes on multiple web infrastructure components 
  • Resolve IT-related problems by conferring with customers, performing research, evaluating procedures and documentation, and testing and implementing solutions 
  • Develop and document new procedures and revise existing procedures 
  • Supporting both on premise and cloud-based web infrastructure. 

Basic / Required: 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States 
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written procedures 
  • IT related technical experience including direct experience with networking and/or software installations and configurations 
  • Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2016 support experience 
  • IIS Web Server and ASP.NET configuration and administration 
  • Deep understanding of HTTP Protocol 
  • Specific knowledge of TCP/IP, virtual environments, and firewalls 
  • Specific knowledge of Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption 
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills 
  • Strong internet troubleshooting skills including network tracing 

Preferred Technical Skills: 
  • 5+ years of IT related technical experience with a degree in MIS or Computer Science 
  • 5+ years of IIS experience including experience with configuring and administrating multiple .NET framework versions 
  • 3+ years of Apache and/or WebSphere administration experience including experience with configuring and administrating multiple Java versions 
  • 3+ years of Citrix NetScaler ADC administration experience 
  • AWS & Azure experience 
  • Internal/External DNS administration experience 
  • Experience with Basic, NTLM, Kerberos, and SAML authentication protocols 
  • Experience with HTTPS/certificate configuration on web servers 
  • Understanding of reverse proxy support 
  • Familiarization with Active Directory (AD)/LDAP concepts and practices 
  • Familiarity with formal ITSM environment such as Service Now or Remedy

  • Ability to simplify and explain technical information and solutions to both customers and management through both verbal and written communication including the ability to author technical documentation 
  • Displays high motivation to carry out instructions without requiring constant supervision and direction
