Global Security Operations Center Associate

The successful candidate for a role in the  Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) will be a member of a team that is responsible for enhancing the security of the client’ s assets 24/7/365. The team accomplishes this mission by conducting a combination of monitoring, research and analysis, and notification functions. The candidate must be highly reliable, customer oriented and intellectually curious, have good judgment, and be able to quickly learn on-site security systems and procedures.

The selected candidate will have a combination of security operations and intelligence collection and analysis responsibilities:
  • Work in tandem with the contract guard force that is responsible for physical security at the Company’ s headquarters
  • Monitor physical security access control systems and taking the appropriate action in response to an alarm, breach, malfunction, or other event
  • Liaise between emergency medical services, the fire department, and law enforcement in the event of an on-site emergency
  • Act as a point of contact for security-related questions and incident notifications that come from Company employees, vendors and other entities
  • Identify national and international incidents, trends and threats that could have an adverse security impact on the Company’ s assets, and provide timely notifications to appropriate personnel
  • Conduct research using Company and publicly available tools and information to answer a variety of security-related investigative and intelligence requirements
  • Function as the travel security program focal point during non-core business hours


  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing and able to work all shifts, including nights, on weekends and on holidays
  • Associates degree or two years of college level education
  • Able to communicate clearly and accurately in English, both verbally and in writing (a writing sample may be requested)
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Professional or academic experience using open source tools and techniques, including social media, to research and analyze security-related questions
  • General understanding of physical security monitoring and access control requirements and procedures

  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • Experience working as an operator or analyst in a public or private sector security-related operations center
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Familiarity with current events in the United States and abroad
  • Familiarity with the intelligence cycle
  • Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Experience using video monitoring, access control, and alarm monitoring applications
  • Experience operating emergency notification applications
  • Experience operating a traveler tracking system
  • An intermediate or higher level of proficiency in a language other than English, particularly Spanish
