Analyst – Security


The successful candidate for a role in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) will be a member of a team that is responsible for enhancing the security of the Company’ s assets around the clock. The team accomplishes this mission by executing a variety of monitoring, research and analysis, and notification tasks. The candidate must be a highly reliable team player, customer oriented, and intellectually curious; have good judgment; and be able to quickly learn on-site security systems and procedures.


The selected candidate will have a combination of operations and intelligence responsibilities. These include:
  • Monitoring physical security access control systems and taking appropriate actions in response to an alarm, breach, malfunction, or other similar event
  • Liaising with on-site emergency medical services, the fire department, and law enforcement in the event of an on-site emergency
  • Identifying incidents, trends and threats that could have an adverse impact on the Company’ s assets, and providing timely notifications to Company personnel
  • Conducting open source research to answer intelligence requirements
  • Functioning as the travel security focal point during non-core business hours
  • Acting as a point of contact for an array of security-related questions and incident notifications that come from Company employees, vendors and other entities


  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing and able to work all shifts, including nights, on weekends and on holidays
  • Associates degree or two years of college level education
  • Able to communicate clearly and accurately in English, both verbally and in writing (a writing sample may be requested)
  • General understanding of physical security monitoring and access control requirements and procedures
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience using open source tools and techniques, including social media, to monitor for security incidents and conduct research

  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • Experience working as an operator or analyst in a public or private sector security-related operations center
  • Experience using video monitoring, access control, and alarm monitoring applications
  • Experience operating emergency notification applications
  • Familiarity with current events in the United States and abroad
  • Familiarity with the intelligence cycle
  • Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Experience operating a traveler tracking system
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • An intermediate or higher level of proficiency in a language other than English
